About Me

I can be described as lover of life, an animal lover, and lover of education. I am constantly striving for knowledge and learning opportunities. I've been around horses my entire life. I enjoy working with horses and their human partners through natural horsemanship philosophies, natural balance bare foot hoof care, reiki, red-light therapy, essential oils, aromatherapy, crystal healing, chromotherapy, flower essences, and more. I am a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Teacher who offers treatments for people, horses, dogs, cats, and other creatures great and small. I also teach Reiki classes for those interested in learning how to treat themselves, their loved ones, and even their animals! Natural Horse Lover Farm is located in Northern New York between the St. Lawrence River and Adirondack Mountains. Heaven on Earth. naturalhorseloverfarm.com

Clean horses!

I am exhausted!! But, I finally was home long enough to enjoy the horses today. We really needed it too. (No work travel again for a bit anyway. Three weeks (6 trips) being gone and back only briefly for a day or so in between took a toll on me. )

They all were extensively groomed, bathed, Whiskey had his hooves trimmed, etc. I really love how our horse facility is coming together. The wash rack worked very well (although the baths were still done in the driveway). Thanks to Debra Bootie for being a great help, especially dealing with the fairy knots in Whiskey's mane!

Our horsemanship confidence workshop scheduled for this weekend was cancelled but we plan to offer it again in September. And, we are hosting another equine first aid class in Oct. Stay tuned!

With the bird flu in the news, I wanted to assure you that our birds are fine. We always push for people to buy locally and ban commercial big-agricultural animal farming, period. The animals suffer in many, many ways, unnecessarily. And, don't be fooled. Eggs in stores that are called free range is simply a twist of truth. Those chickens may not in cages but are overcrowded and never see the sunshine, grass, raindrops, or anything but filthy barns and too many neighbors.Local, free range chickens typically enjoy a good, healthy existence. My coops are not artificially lit up in the winter to keep production going either, the hens get a natural and much needed break. The hens live a happy life with all the necessities for good health and yummy eggs. They enjoy the sunshine, the rain, feel the breeze, fresh food and water, grass, weeds, etc. The eggs you are getting are very fresh. And, please know that if there is ever a problem with them, they are 100% guaranteed, always.

Memorial Day - Sergeant Reckless

This was posted on Facebook by Integrity Horse Feed..

Sergeant Reckless was a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. For 9 months, she was a member of the Recoilless Rifle Platoon, Anti-Tank Company, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. She carried supplies and ammunition, and aided in evacuating the wounded. She was such an intelligent mare that she learned how to navigate supply routes on her own, and is famed for making 51 solo trips, covering over 35 miles, to resupply the front lines in a single day! After the war she was awarded two Purple Hearts, a Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, and was promoted to staff sergeant in 1959 by the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

Hello? Yeah, I am here.

I want to write and tell you that the horses and I are performing amazing feats, I want to tell you about all kinds of adventures, new goals, etc. But I cannot. Work has been crazy busy, we are working on farm projects making tons of new spaces and improving others, and thus, horse time is at an all time low. In theory, this sacrifice is worth it but it surely is distressing too. The farm? Looking magnificent and yes, we are still taking appointments but those fill up quickly so don't delay! Let me know how I can help you!

From my website: http://www.naturalhorseloverfarm.com

Natural Horse Lover Farm has been developed to offer a beautiful country setting on 40 acres in Northern New York (just south of  the Canadian border) between the St. Lawrence River and Adirondack Mountains. The farm's proximity allows for the comforts of rural life with the advantage of being able to explore and take advantage of opportunities in larger regions such as other places in New York, Vermont, and Canada.

This peaceful rural setting allows our guests to learn, grow, improve wellness, and create balance in their lives and the lives of their animals. We are here to help everyone and all creatures live a life with emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental balance. horsemanship education, natural animal husbandry, horse psychology, coaching, discipline specific lessons, holistic health practices (such as but not limited to Reiki, photonic red-light therapy (needless accupuncture/accupressure), chromotherapy (color therapy), essential oils, aromatherapy, crystal healing, flower essences, chakra balancing, energetic space clearing, confidence building), equine first aid, horsemanship confidence building/fear make overs, goal and intention setting, and much, much more. Everything offered here can be applied to any horse-related discipline, animal situation, and a person's life in general. (By the way, we sell farm-fresh free range chicken eggs, hatching eggs, and occasionally, birds.)

We pride ourselves in being a private facility that has the ability to work intimately with our clientele. Priding ourselves on the ability to offer a
safe, intimate environment, you'll find that Natural Horse Lover Farm is unique to our region and a place where one can truly learn and grow, find happiness, be healthy, and much more in a non-judgmental, open, and safe environment.
