I can be described as lover of life, an animal lover, and lover of education. I am constantly striving for knowledge and learning opportunities. I've been around horses my entire life. I enjoy working with horses and their human partners through natural horsemanship philosophies, natural balance bare foot hoof care, reiki, red-light therapy, essential oils, aromatherapy, crystal healing, chromotherapy, flower essences, and more. I am a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Teacher who offers treatments for people, horses, dogs, cats, and other creatures great and small. I also teach Reiki classes for those interested in learning how to treat themselves, their loved ones, and even their animals! Can you say horse barn?

The building project recommenced on Memorial Day! I could not believe it.  And, as of this evening, the horse barn section is well underway.  The expedience of this project is incredible. It will be strange not to have the crew (and their camper) around.  We've gotten used to our new guests and like them rather well.

I expect that the roof will be completed on the horse barn tomorrow and the wainscoting on the arena will be complete (just a guess). It has been a long weekend and very busy work day for me today and I am tired to the max.  So, I'll make this post short. Rick took more photos and I hope that you enjoy them. Until tomorrow.

I went kayaking!

I went kayaking for the first time ever and LOVED IT! Rick and I have new, Old Town Vapor 10 kayaks. I have the sunrise model (above) and he has the fishing model (angler). I was nervous just thinking about doing it but decided, why not! Anyhow, my mom and I went out on a small Adirondack lake called Lake Ozonia and I am hooked! (Rick stayed back with the construction crew.) I cannot wait to go kayaking again.  Not only was it fun and amazing but, it was a great core and arm workout! We enjoyed exploring the lake, had lunch under a tree while in our crafts, and enjoyed each other's company and the gorgeous weather.  So, I have yet another sport in my repertoire, yeah me! And, by the way, the horse trailer makes a great kayak transport vehicle....looked a bit strange at the boat parking lot but, what the heck, why not, I am a horse girl at heart! :)

Only 3 1/2 Days and Look at This!

The builders have worked for 3 1/2 days and check out these photos and video (thanks Rick--aka my shutter bug). These guys are superheroes! The drivers of all of the trucks are too....amazing talent. Our roof is in sans the sky lights. They are working long, hard hours, running around on the roof as if they were on the ground, and everything is perfect. A second crew came in from Connecticut this morning, arriving at 7am and started working, worked until 7pm and headed back to Connecticut.  Our crew leaves at 1am for Connecticut to assist the other guys with another roof job on a cow barn.  They'll return Monday or Tuesday next week to continue on our job. I have to say that today, when I got back from my business trip to Lake Placid, and saw the building with the trusses in and the roof being built before my very eyes, I was a bit teary.  Reality hit hard, it's like a dream.

And, here is a very brief update on a few other things.  Morgan is doing much better, back to her old self.  My journey to better health is not going the greatest but I am not giving up.  And last but not least, today is our 22nd year wedding anniversary.  So, I am living the dream with my best friend and soul mate....love you, Rick. :)

Enjoy the photos and video, more to come next week!
